Section 47
A witness may be taxed to answer
If a witness answers a question put to him in court, he shall not refuse to answer such question on the ground that the answer may expose him to punishment. However, he shall not be arrested or prosecuted on the basis of any such answer, except for any action for lying, and such answer shall not be accepted as evidence in any other criminal case.
